Description
A sergeant of first class is a middle management unit, serving as a communication and disciplinary asset between the commanding officer and the rest of the group. A staff sergeant may act as the second in command of their officer, serving as a replacement in case they are not present or otherwise available.

Ideals
Middle Management. As long the sergeant can see two other members of their group they have an advantage on all their Perception and Insight rolls.
Bonds
Combat Unity. Any group member who stands 5 feet from the sergeant, and who's rank is lower than the sergeant has an advantage on all their Attack rolls.
Flaws
Strong Commoderie. Whenever a group members with the rank of staff sergeant, Pacificatores or higher is reduced to 0 HP, the sergeant makes a Wisdom saving throw (DC 10 + 2 for every currently downed member). On a fail, the sergeant loses both his Ideal and Bond abilities for 1 minute.
Combat Line. The srageant can choose to make an attack roll against any creature the moves 5 feet from it, this ability does not consume an action.
Actions
Long Sword. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target: Hit: 6 (1d8 + 2) / 7 (1d10 + 2) slashing damage.
Shield Knock. The sergeant bashes its shield against a creature within 5 feet of it. The target makes a DC 12 Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target is pushed 5 feet and is knocked Prone.
