Spellcasting:The creature is an 8th level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). The creature has the following spells prepared:
1st level (4 slots): disguise self, silent image, arms of hadar, dissonant whispers
2nd level (3 slots): alter self, misty step, web
3rd level (3 slots): hunger of hadar, conjure animals (2 giant spiders), fly
4th level (2 slots): Evard's black tentacles, greater invisibility
Fey Ancestry. The creature has advantage on saving throws against being Charmed, and magic can’t put the drider to sleep.
Spider Climb. The creature can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Sunlight Sensitivity. While in sunlight, the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
Web Walker. The creature ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.
Multiattack. The creature makes three attacks, either with its mouth tendrils or its legs. It can replace one of those attacks with a bite attack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 2 1d4 piercing damage plus 9 2d8 poison damage.
Legs. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 7 1d8+3 slashing damage.
Mouth Tendrils. Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 30 ft., one target. Hit: 7 1d8+3 piercing damage plus 4 1d8 poison damage.
Tendrils outstretch from the fleshy webbing that ensnares creatures within the lair. Dex save DC 12 to avoid. On a failed save, the creature is restrained until it uses its action to make a successful DC 12 athletics or acrobatics check to break free.
The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 5; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).
A pale, bruise-colored creature with two abdomens and 12 appendages. The main abdomen is suspended by 8 stretched and torn, spider-like limbs with swollen joints that crack and snap erratically with the creature's movements. The second abdomen shoots upwards, and 4 long tendrils extend from it and violate the air. The creature has many small holes and tumor like protrusions that look like they are trying to escape, stretching its wet skin from underneath. On the main abdomen there extends a circular gaping maw, and sharp extensions trash forth out of it.
