Sylvferi was once the capital of a small elvish confederation, until it was conquered by the Talic empire almost 2,000 years ago. The present-day city was founded upon the pacts between the conquerors and conquered, pacts that still shape Sylvferi's spiritual currents.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2. Additionally, your Intelligence score increases by 1, or your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age. Elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, but typically are not considered fully adult until around the age of 100. They can live to be 750 years old.
Size. Elves range from 5 feet to over 6 feet tall, and have slender builds. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses. You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Fey Ancestry. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put you to sleep.
Trance. Elves don't need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semi-conscious, for four hours a day. While meditating, you can dream after a fashion, revisiting a memory or considering a problem through symbolic thinking. After resting this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
Choose one of the following:
Fleet of Foot. Your base walking speed increases to 35 feet.
Elven Magic. You know a cantrip of your choice from the Wizard and Cleric spell lists. Intelligence or Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for it.
Languages. You know Common and one other language of your choice.
