The offspring of hag mothers and humanoid fathers, changelings can be born to any ancestry. They resemble their father's people, save for the traits they manifest as a result of their mother's supernatural blood.
Age. Changelings mature at the same rate as others of their father's ancestry, but their mother's blood slows their aging afterwards and extends their lifespans. Changelings can potentially live to be 800 years old.
Size. Changelings are the same size as their father's ancestry.
Speed. Changelings have the same speed as their father's ancestry.
Darkvision. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Changeling Sub-ancestries
There are different kinds of hags, and their changeling offspring develop reflect this. Choose one of these sub-ancestries.
Brine May.
You are the child of a sea hag, and have a blue or sea-green eye. You are most comfortable living near bodies of water, and you may like to bathe or swim frequently.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1.
Athletic. You are proficient in the Athletics skill.
Icewater Child. You have resistance to cold damage.
Bedraggled Legacy. You know the shape water cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the create or destroy water spell as a second-level spell once per long rest. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these.
Callow May.
The most common kind of changeling, you are the child of a wily green hag, and have been marked with a bright green eye and a talent for manipulation.
Ability Score Increase. Your Charisma score increases by 1.
Deceptive. You have proficiency in the Deception skill.
Mimicry. You can mimic the speech of another person or the sounds made by other creatures. You must have heard the person speaking, or heard the creature make the sound, for at least 1 minute. A successful Wisdom (Insight) check contested by your Charisma (Deception) check allows a listener to determine that the effect is faked.
Cunning Legacy. You know the minor illusion cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the disguise self spell once per long rest. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these.
Dream May.
You are the child of a night hag, and your mother's fiendish influence has left you with a violet or white eye and a curious relationship to slumber and fear.
Ability Score Increase. Your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Night Child. You have advantage on saving throws against being frightened, and magic can't put you to sleep.
Restful Sleep. Sleep is especially refreshing for you. You only need to sleep for 4 hours during a long rest, though you must still spend 8 hours resting (sleeping and doing light activities such as reading or keeping watch) to get the benefit of a long rest.
Haunting Legacy. You know the thaumaturgy cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the cause fear spell once per long rest. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these.
Slag May.
Your mother was a mighty annis hag. You have one eye colored violet or steely gray, and sharp claws on each of your hands.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
Claws. Your claws are considered light weapons and have the finesse property. They allow you to make a melee attack that does 1d4 slashing damage plus your Strength or Dexterity ability modifier. You are proficient with your claws.
Beckoning Legacy. You know the friends cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the charm person spell once per long rest. Intelligence is your spellcasting attribute for these.
Languages. You know Common and one other language of your choice.
