Darkvision. Formicoids are accustomed to dark burrows and tunnels. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Exoskeleton Armor. Your skeleton is on the outside, protecting your inside much better than an average humanoids flesh. When you aren't wearing armor, your AC is equal to 13 + your dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield's benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
Poison Resilience. Your insect nature makes most poisons ineffective against you. You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
Speak with Small Insects. Through sounds and gestures, you can communicate simple ideas with Small or smaller insects.
Quick Sleeping. You don't sleep like most humanoids. Instead, you only need to sleep for 3 hours a day. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep.
