Tieflings are the result of the blood of Baatorians, also called Devils) entering mortal bloodlines. This can happen through interbreeding, but also through magical pacts, agreements, or curses. The Tieflings appearance is mostly human, and this convenient situation is a result of Tieflings being almost all human physically, and almost all devil spiritually. This results in earlier generations of Tieflings with more infernal blood have metaphysical anomalies happen around them, shadows and flames respond to them as if almost alive. But as the devils blood dilutes, the balance is upset, more physical devil traits start to appear as the spirit becomes more and more human. By the fourteenth generation, all of the infernal magics have bled away leaving nothing but obvious and horrifying signs of lineage. Cloven hooves, wings, red sclera and rams horns. It's a death sentence for the child AND the mother, which is why so many Tieflings even in the eleventh generation swear off children.   Age: Maturity 16 to 75 years. Maximum age of 120 years.

Fey’ri

The oldest of Tieflings, the members of which are between twenty two to twenty eight generations old. They were part of the ancient Sun Elf House Dlardrageth of Cormanthor, and during the ruin of Aryvandaar swore a pact to the Fiend Malkizid, a Fallen Angel of the Selidarine. They have managed to keep their blood curse a secret through many years of training and insulated living in the far East from their Sun Elves brethern over in Moonshae and Dalelands. It is rare one of their numbers venture to the outside world, the risk of discovery would mean a ruin of their entire house. But the curse no longer holds sway on their souls, with many in search of a God in these troubling times.   Dlardrageth Magics: You can cast Disguise Self at will, but only to hide your wings and horns. Your spellcasting ability for this spell is your choice of Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma. You can also cast this spell normally with any spell slots you have.   Legacy of Malbolge: You have a flight speed equal to 10ft x Proficiency Bonus.

Fierna

The offspring of Erinyes, Fierna has an ever increasing supply of Tieflings being made in the world. Although her rank in the Hells is low her agents are many, with her being tactfully included in most plots requiring many mortals. Her devils give a level of supernatural charm and persuasion in their children, but many need to constantly stay on the move as their charms wear off and leave some very pissed of lovers/merchants/random acquaintance.   Legacy of Phlegethos: You know the Friends cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Charm Person spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the Suggestion spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Your spellcasting ability for this spell is your choice of Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma. You can also cast this spell normally with any spell slots you have.

Glasya

If there's one thing Glasya loves, it's a clean coup. Heists, burglary, assassination. The cleaner the better for Hell’s First Archduke, and the powers she grants Tieflings made by her Devils are very useful for her goals. A healthy mix of Tieflings made through Pacts and made through Mixing. Her agents do tend to enjoy 'stealing' the virtue of women they cross.   Legacy of Nessus: You know the Minor Illusion cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Disguise Self spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the Invisibility spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Your spellcasting ability for this spell is your choice of Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma. You can also cast this spell normally with any spell slots you have.

Mephistopheles

Almost exclusives made up for first and second generation Tieflings, master mages who swear Pacts and possibly have an ill-conceived child from necessity. Mephistopheles loves to promise arcane powers, and his agents are good at sourcing mages naive enough to think they're getting the better end of the deal. You've always known magic, and it's come to you easily, possibly too easily.   Legacy of Cania: You know the Shocking Grasp cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Armour of Agathys spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the Coldfire Blast spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Your spellcasting ability for this spell is your choice of Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma. You can also cast this spell normally with any spell slots you have.

Oublivae

Those seekers of ancient secrets, Oublivae is rarely sort by mortals. She is a lover of curses, amassing many ancient magics from her Night Hag covens to ruin the lives and bloodlines of important people. You never asked for this, you don't want it, but your soul is forfeit and it feels like you gained nothing in the bargin. So you seek out mysteries, some prize great enough for Oublivae to spare your soul the eternity of torment that is in your future.   Legacy of Maladomini: You know the Seek Phrase cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Comprehend Languages spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the Glimpse the Future spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Your spellcasting ability for this spell is your choice of Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma. You can also cast this spell normally with any spell slots you have.

Zariel

The newest of the Archduke, Zariel has a great deal of dislike in the process of Tieflings. Many of her Pacts do swear first-born for her help, but she keeps the rewards high and the costs low, wanting the loyalty and understanding of her future soldiers. This has had an unfortunate side-effect of being the most often sort Pact holder for those in dire situation from Martial traditions. A massive Cult is forming in her name hidden within Mymyr. The Knights of Zeal.   Legacy of Avernus: You know the Green-Flame Blade cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the Hellish Rebuke spell as a 2nd-level spell once with this trait as a reaction and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the Branding Smite spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Your spellcasting ability for this spell is your choice of Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma. You can also cast this spell normally with any spell slots you have.
