Living mostly outdoors, outside of traditional lighting, they have superior vision in dark or dim conditions. They can see in dim light within 20 meters of themselves as if they were in bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. They can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. They are hard to charm (advantage in saving throws against being charmed) and magic cannot put them to sleep. They can shrink objects sized for a medium or small creature to suit their size, while it is carried by them. While shrunk, a weapon can be used normally. Like other children of The Wilds, they have a natural gift for the outside world (Proficiency in Nature checks). With enough practice, they can cast the invisibility spell with themselves as the target. After they cast invisibility in this way, they cannot do so again until they complete a long rest. If their wings are cut or injured, their magic causes them to regrow by the end of a long rest. With their innate power of invisibility, pixies rarely appear unless they wish to be seen. In The Wilds and on the Material Plane, pixies etch patterns of frost on winter ponds and rouse the buds in springtime. They cause flowers to sparkle with summer dew, and colour the leaves with the blazing hues of autumn. When visible, a shower of sparkling dust follows in their wake like the glittering tail of a shooting star. A mere sprinkle of pixie dust is said to be able to grant the power of flight, confuse a creature hopelessly, or send foes into a magical slumber. Only pixies can use their dust to its full potential, but these fey are constantly sought out by mages and monsters seeking to study or master their power. (Not to be confused with Fairy dust.) Unlike their fey cousins, the sprites, most pixies abhor weapons and would sooner flee than get into ill physical altercation with any enemy.
