Age. Most Myrmidons, despite their strength as soldiers and divine origin, have a short lifespan due to their insect biology. They mature at the age of 5 and usually live to about 35 years of age. Alignment. Myrmidons have a sense of morality that is almost godlike, and this is because they are believed to have been created directly through Zeus' will. Because of this, they are hardy people with an intense loyalty for their leaders, making them lawful. Carapace Armor. You have a thick outer carapace, granting you a base AC equal to 13 plus your Dexterity modifier. Myrmidons who choose to wear armor must have it specially modified to fit their 4-armed body structure, tripling its base cost. Standing Leap. When making a long jump, you have advantage on the Strength (Athletics) check. Chameleon Carapace. You can change the color of your carapace to match your natural surroundings. You have advantage on all Dexterity (Stealth) checks. Sleepless. You don’t require sleep. Multiple Limbs. Unlike other humanoids, you have two sets of limbs, meaning you can wield two additional one-handed weapons, or one additional two-handed weapon. Bite. Using an action, you may bite, using your mandibles as a proficient unarmed attack. This attack deals (1d6 + your Strength modifier) of piercing damage. Beginning at 7th level, creatures that take damage from your bite attack must make a Constitution saving throw or suffer the Poisoned condition.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Myrmidon. Myrmidon is a language of clicks, whistles, and mandible snaps that is difficult for non-Myrmidons to speak.
