4-level Necromancy (ritual)
A target of your choice within range must make a CON save. It takes 8d8 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful save, as you attempt to rip its soul from its body.
If this spell reduces a target to 0 hit points, it is instantly dead, and you regain both the hitpoints you dealt in damage to it, and the spell slot used to cast this spell.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell with a spell slot of 5th level or higher, increase the damage dealt by 1d8 for each slot level above 4th.
