Shriek. The frog puffs up and releases a loud, short shriek. Any creatures within a 15 foot cone that can hear it must make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is deafened for 1d4 rounds. Creatures within 5 ft instead make this saving throw against DC 15, and additionally take 1d3 sonic damage upon a failed save.
This tiny amphibian has a very particular defense mechanism against predators; it puffs up its chest and lets out a short, loud shriek that may hurt the ears of any creatures nearby. It gets its name from the undead creature of legend, which is said to be able to slay any creature that hears its wail. It usually lives in or near fresh water, such as riverbanks, streams or ponds.
