6-level Transmutation
You transform into a bolt of dark energy and fly forward towards
a creature within range. If the creature is not willing, it must
succeed on a Charisma saving throw or be possessed by you
until the spell ends. Undead and constructs are unaffected. The
possessed creature acts normally, but whenever they move, you
move as if you were in their space. Whilst you are possessing a
creature, you are untargetable, and are immune to all damage.
Whenever the spell ends, be it due to loss of concentration, or
you willingly ending concentration on the spell, you burst forth
from the creature in a violent explosion, appearing in an
unoccupied space within 20 feet of them. Each creature except
you within the area must then succeed on a Constitution saving
throw or take 10d8 necrotic damage, taking half on a success. If
the creature willingly allowed you to possess it, it succeeds the
saving throw automatically.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot
of 7th level or higher, the damage dealt increases by 2d8 per
spell slot level expended above 6th.
