Actions

-Claw Kick: Melee attack, deals 1d4+2 slashing damage with its foot claws. Makes a Strenght (Athletics) check: if it scores a 13 or higher, the attacker is knocked back 5ft and falls prone.
-Nakhun Bite: Melee attack, deals [1d4+2] piercing damage + 1 poison damage.
-Cobra Spit: Ranged attack (up to 10ft of range), deals 2 poison damage and inflicts the Poisoned condition if it suceeds.

Reactions

-Empathy: If a Nakhun is killed or suffers a critical hit, another Nakhun has the ability to choose to use a Claw Kick or Cobra Spit on the attacker. If Claw Kick is used, it will always knock back the target, without an ability check needed; if Cobra Spit is used, it will inflict 3 poison damage rather than 2.

Its appearance might look familiar to those who come from planet Earth, as it happens to have a silhouette their popular yet highly innacurate depictions of the extinct animal Velociraptor mongoliensis: human-sized, featherless, blunt snout... Yet there are other distinctive traits, such as their lack of sickle claws, the hardly noticeable sails on their backs, and their distinctive head frills, which are even larger in the elder, "Alpha" individuals. The Nakhun are the apex predators of Eox's desertic enviroments, being pack hunters that are able to take down their prey with a combination of speed, coordination and teamwork.   One Nakhun shouldn't be much of a trouble for a standard party, but it's rare to find them alone. They usually form packs of 4-5 individuals, with one of them being an Alpha that commands the younger members. When facing a pack of Nakhun, one of the best strategies is to kill the alpha first in order to make it harder for the rest to coordinate. But remember, Nakhun don't just form packs: they form families. The members of a pack are usually connected between them with emotional bonds, and are more than willing to risk their lives in order to protect each other and their leader, so every attack you make puts yourself at the risk of a counterattack by other Nakhun. Oh, and they spit venom too.

Found in deserts, in the planet Eox.
