3-level Evocation

You summon a burning incorporeal spear and launch it towards a target within range. Make a ranged spell attack against that target. If there are any creatures 15 feet or less directly behind the target from you in a line and the attack roll would also hit them, they are also hit. On a hit, a creature takes 2d10 piercing and 3d8 fire damage.   Additionally, their speed drops to 0 until the start of your next turn, when the spear dissipates.
At higher levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you can target one additional creature and the spear flies for another 5 ft. after the first target for each slot level above 3rd.
