Brass ogres are a type of ogre that come from what is now called the Brass Ogre Mountains in the Northern Realms of Kadrun. They are similar in size and shape to ogres except for that they are much heavier. Brass ogres have a hide that looks and feels like brass. This brass-like hidemakes brass ogres much more difficult to injury than normal ogres. They are also stronger than normal ogres, but they are also slower because of their weight from their thick brass-like hide. Brass ogres are also more intelligent than normal ogres and are often underestimated by those who mistake them for normal ogres. The fact that brass ogres are stronger and smarter than normal ogres leads to them both convincing and bullying normal ogres to accept their leadership. Their intelligence also leads to brass ogres being a greater threat to civilization as they are able to organize themselves and normal ogres into fighting forces that many civilizations are unable to withstand. The fallen human Kingdom of Sarnoria and dwarven kingdom Kazad-Katun are a testament to this. Brass ogres, unlike normal ogres, have the ability to craft weapons of normal quality and increases how dangerous they are on the battlefield. Ogres under the thumb of Brass ogres are typically much better equipped than normal ogres.
Brass ogres are typically found in mountainous areas and the lands that surround them.
