The target must succeed on a DC 12 Intelligence saving throw, taking 1d3 Psychic damage on a failed save, or nothing on a successful one. The target is made aware that something is trying to attack it whether it fails or succeeds the save.


 

An Oculus Cat is a house cat which is brought into existence by a Beholder who dreams vaguely of a feline companion, Oculus Dogs, Oculus Fish, Oculus Birds and other Oculus Familiars are created in the same way. They are identical to common cats with the exception of a third eye on its forehead which prevents all checks to gain information on something affiliated with it in its range of sight, dealing 1d3 Psychic damage instead; they can also float. Oculus Cats are under the command of their owners until the owner dies or dismisses it, which will lead it to act like a common wild cat until it finds a new willing  

Oculus Cats will be found in the lair of a beholder or occasionally in a largely populated area near one, where they will be in public searching for a new   They should not be found in the wild unless instructed by its
