Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: (1d8+3) piercing damage plus (2d8) poison damage. The target must make an Int saving throw and receives half damage on a successful one. After failing 3 Int Saves against the creature, target's Int score decreases by (1d4). 1 point is regained every hour.
Silk Spin (Recharge 5-6). Ranged Weapon Attack: 15 foot cone, DEX save of 13. The target is restrained by silk. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 12 Strength check, bursting the silk on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 5; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage)

A large beast that starts off as a tiny worm, the colony burrowing deep into the wood of bookshelves or the pages of an old tome. As they grow, feasting on books for sustenance, one is chosen as the queen, and she subsequently makes her home somewhere permanent, usually in a basement or attic. The other bookworms bring her books and take care of the eggs as she grows larger and larger, beginning to spin silk to create her nest.

Old places with lots of knowledge.
