race features:
Darkvision
Due to growing up in the dark, murky swamps of Geipria, you have excellent night vision. You can see within dim light up to 60 feet of you as if you were in bright light and darkness as if it were dim.
Powerful Jaws
Your large, powerful jaws are a fantastic weapon. You can make unarmed strikes with your maw, dealing 1d6 + your Strength Modifier. If the creature is Small or Tiny, it becomes grappled in your mouth and must succeed in a Strength or Dexterity Saving Throw against your opposing Strength Check to escape. This attack's damage is considered piercing damage rather than bludgeoning.
Strong Lungs
You are a natural-born swimmer, and as such can hold your breath for a long time. You can hold your breath for up to 30 minutes.
Reptilian Tongue
Your people have evolved from ancient crocodiles, giving you the ability to communicate with them. Reptiles are naturally more friendly to you and can understand what you say. You gain proficiency in Animal Handling when dealing with reptiles.
Warmonger
The Vesik are natural warriors and thrive on the battlefield. As a bonus action, you can release your anger and shout at the top of your lungs. All creatures nearby, friend or foe, must make a Wisdom Saving Throw with a DC equal to 10 + your proficiency modifier or become frightened of you. Frightened creatures have disadvantage on ability checks and attack rolls while you are insight, and cannot move closer to you.
Vesik Battle Training
You gain proficiency with maces, battleaxes, and clubs.
The Vesik are often viewed as violent, angry people; plotting to destroy their enemies in their underground villages and cities. However, they are incredibly kind people who have been harmed by many of the other native people of Geipria, and as such, have a lot of distrust for most visitors. Almost wiped into extinction has affected a lot of their mentality, so a once kind, peaceful race now attacks on sight unless given a peace offering first.
