Siren

Those who think of Sirens usually think of Horrid creatures of the seas known for clearing entire ships of men, women, and children after luring their ships close enough to attack. Virtually invisible underwater and mainly living on small Islands many ships will give a wide berth to uncharted or barren islands.

Breathe Underwater

You can go under the water and breathe in the water as if it were air. You can also breathe air but so can most things... you're not special.

Shape Water

You choose an area of water that you can see within range and that fits within a 5-foot cube. You manipulate it in one of the following ways:   You instantaneously move or otherwise change the flow of the water as you direct, up to 5 feet in any direction. This movement doesn’t have enough force to cause damage.   You cause the water to form into simple shapes and animate at your direction. This change lasts for 1 hour.   You change the water’s color or opacity. The water must be changed in the same way throughout. This change lasts for 1 hour.   You freeze the water, provided that there are no creatures in it. The water unfreezes in 1 hour.

Refractile

while submerged in water you are invisible to anything that is not also submerged in the same water.

Alluring Voice

Once per combat, you can gain full control of a creature's movement. (contested against your spell modifier vs their wis.) If you use this movement to outright kill a creature example (walk off a cliff or jump into a volcano) another check at a disadvantage will be required. The creature must have an intelligence score of 5+

Carnivore

Everything but meat turns to dust in your mouth. which can also be a choking hazard!

Sirens abilities

Sirens are masters of water combat and have an inherent ability to breathe both air and water. If you are trying to see a Siren while it is submerged you might as well be blindfolded. Sirens have beautiful voices that can be used to lure any living thing (int 5+) toward a location of their choosing.

Wild and Confident

Sirens rarely lack confidence, seeing themselves as equal to almost any challenge in their path. This certainty might manifest as graceful self-assurance in one Siren and as arrogance in another. Such self-confidence can sometimes blind Sirens to risk, and their great plans often get them and others into trouble.

Siren tribes

Sirens usually live in small tribes on islands fighting for survival. Most tribes remain uncivilized and primal while others are more primitive. It is rare to see a siren outside of its tribe's island. They can leave the island but the curse keeping them bound to their tribe's island will kill them if they don't return to its grounds within 12 hours. Sirens can only eat meat and fish but consuming humanoid meat will further their descent into madness.

Sirens life cycle

If a Siren is born from a humanoid (usually male), during mating the Siren will inject an egg into the chest cavity of a male. The Egg then begins to fuse into the humanoid body to absorb its nutrients and DNA. The egg will also secrete a healing and paralyzing gel to keep the male alive long enough for Gestation. Once the egg reaches maturity a female or male (very rare) baby will eat its way out of the male. Binding this newborn Siren to the curse. People refer to this as Birth Born.   If a siren is "born" from a humanoid Abduction the tribe will have a ritual to force the curse to the abductee. Turning them into a siren, But if this Siren doesn't eat Humanoid meat its intelligence will not deteriorate and it will not be bound to the island although many don't venture far from it. People refer to this as Ritual Born.

Siren backgrounds

Each Siren Tribe has its own temperament which Also Depends on the stage of sirenism they might be at. Sirens will often be faced with racial discrimination outside of its islands. Appropriate backgrounds for Sirens will include Ship captains, Pirates, lighthouse keepers, and hunters. Anything to do with or be near water.

How to identify a Siren

"Primal Sirens and tribes will appear less human and more aquatic, often with scales, barnacles, fins, and pointed teeth. These sirens are typically aggressive and excel in water combat and movement. Siren attacks are often fatal, and their distinctive sounds often serve as a way to lure somebody to your death."   "Primitive Sirens and tribes are much harder to determine solely based on their appearance. Some Sirens may look like normal humans, while others may have scales of varying colors or slick-looking skin reminiscent of an octopus, also varying in color. In some cases, their skin may not show any changes at all. These Sirens usually don't attack unless they feel threatened."   ~random professor at a school

Siren Names

Sirens are usually named after aquatic things or popular names in music. Older or abducted Sirens still often use their old names. Sirens always say their tribe name after their first name. exp.( Star of praide, Sofia of Aspis)
