Sandborn (a Human Variant)
The Sandborn are a reclusive group of humans that live admist the desert dunes. They descend from those alive during the disasters that preceded the Dusty expanse.

Sandborn live longer than regular humans given their hardy nature, living to about 120. Often death comes sooner for those within the Dusty Expanse.

Darkvision: Accustomed to the dark nights of the desert, Sandborn have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. They can see in dim light within 60 feet as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. They cannot discern color in darkness, only shades of gray. People of Subistence : You gain proficiency in survival and Herbalism Kits Wasteland Adaptations : Your life in the Dusty Expanse has left you innocculated to poison. You are resistant to poison and have advantage on saves against poison. You can survive twice as long without water before suffering exhaustion Survivor of the Crimson Rush: Sandborn are immune to Crimson Rush but are incapable of wielding blood magic in any capacity. Desert Camouflage: You can attempt to hide even when only lightly obscured by sand, dunes, or other desert features. Dune Walker : You do not suffer the effects of diificult terrain when traversing sandy, or desert terrain

The Sandborn have witnessed their land ravaged by ecological disasters and descend from survivors of the first pandemic of the blood disease known as the Crimson Rush. This history of survival against overwhelming odds is a source of pride and resilience for the Sandborn, shaping their identity and their view of the world. They are reclusive and no longer trust outsiders as a result of the actions of the mages of years past. Despite their jaded nature, they are instances of Sandborn helping lost travelers in need.
