Naargal's Sting

1-level Evocation

Casting Time: 1 Bonus Action
Range/Area: Self
Components: V, S, M
Materials: a melee or ranged weapon worth at least 1 sp
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
Attack/Save: None
Damage/Effect: Poison
With a whispered word and a swift gesture, you imbue your weapon with Naargal’s venomous power. For the duration, your weapon attacks deal an extra 1d4 poison damage to any target they hit.   The spell’s poison seeps into the very essence of your weapon, manifesting as a virulent green aura that clings to the blade, arrowheads, or whatever form your weapon takes. This toxic enhancement not only injures those it wounds but also instills a deep, unsettling fear of the poison's potential to debilitate or kill.   At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the additional poison damage increases by 1d4 for each slot level above 1st.
Spell Description. Naargal's Sting calls forth the venomous might of Naargal, an aspect of Vashteera known for her mastery over toxins and the hunt. Casting this spell, the ranger channels the essence of deadly poisons, coating their weapon with a supernatural toxin that does not merely harm but terrifies. As the ranger strikes, the poison’s magic enhances each hit, making their prey all the more wary of every blow. This spell is a testament to Vashteera’s cunning, providing her followers with an edge that turns the tide of battle not just through physical harm, but through the psychological warfare waged by the mere presence of poison.
