Lion's Maw

Armor Common (this item requires attunement)

Made for soldiers in North Bycross, the Lion's Maw is a golden shield sculpted into the forearm of a gauntlet with the face of a lion modeled into the front in exquisite detail. The metal mane seeming to flow in the wind. While wearing the gauntlet, a character is considered to be wearing a shield. This includes the bonus to Armor Class and any abilities that work while a character is wielding a shield (such as those of the Shield Master feat). If a character is not proficient in shields, they may not cast spells while wearing the gauntlet. While wearing the gauntlet, you have advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks against beasts, but have disadvantage on Wisdom (Animal Handling) checks against beasts. When attuned, when you succeed on a shove maneuver while wearing the gauntlet, you may also choose to deal 1d6+3 piercing damage.
