No more than four foot tall at their tallest, the Pequininos are small in stature. Generally a little rounded, they look like up-right, fur covered pigs. They have pig-like snouts meant for testing the air in tunnels. They have wide, four-fingered hands and toes, with medium-length spade-shaped blunt claws to help them dig in the soft patches of volcanic ash underground. Eyes are dark and small, with no discern-able pupils. Generally preferential of dimly lit settings (though not complete darkness), bright lights can blind them a bit and it takes a while for them to adjust.   A full blooded Pequinino carries a shaped amulet of Coaxium that gives them their ability to shape and control non-intelligent Lusitanian species
