Quarterstaff Practitioner

Prerequisite: Monk or Proficiency with Martial Weapons

Through dedicated training and unwavering devotion to mastering the quarterstaff, you have become a true expert in wielding this versatile weapon. This feat reflects your exceptional proficiency and allows you to unlock its full potential.   You gain the following capabilities when wielding a quarterstaff with two hands:

  • Versatile Mastery: You can add your Strength or Dexterity modifier to attack and damage rolls. This allows you to adapt your fighting style for greater precision or raw power.
  • Whirling Defense: As a reaction, when another creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your quarterstaff to parry the blow. If you do, the attacker must make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + the highest of your Strength or Dexterity modifiers). On a failed save, the attack misses you, and you take no damage. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses after finishing a long rest.
  • Quarterstaff Mastery: You gain a +1 bonus to your Armor Class.
