race features:
Tool Proficiency
You gain proficiency with the artisan’s tools of your choice: smith’s tools, brewer’s supplies, or mason’s tools.
Darkvision
Accustomed to life underground, you have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Stonecunning
Whenever you make an Intelligence (History) check related to the origin of stonework, you are considered proficient in the History skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.
Exoskeleton - Natural Armor
The exoskeletal nature of your Skin makes you naturally durable. When you aren’t wearing armor, your base AC is 13 + your Dexterity modifier. You can use your natural armor to determine your AC if the armor you wear would leave you with a lower AC. A shield’s benefits apply as normal while you use your natural armor.
Ancient Knowledge - Armor Inlays
Rumors have it that the old Dwarves of Bechtarv developed a method of inlaying metal alloys into the exoskeletal parts of their skin. Few Dwarves still know how to do that, but there might be certain individuals out there who still practice this craft. Doing so costs the same as heavy armor and grants the Stats of the respective type of Heavy armor without posing a disadvantage to stealth checks.
