Nightshade

Long ago, some changelings found themselves on the receiving end of a fey curse to doom their children to look like mosters forever. The result was the first nightshades, a race of people who talk in whispers, live in shadow, and scorn the sun for as long as possible. Good for making rogues and rangers.
ability score increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Intelligence score increases by 1.
age: Nightshades mature in their mid fifties, and can live to be well over 500 years old.
alignment: Nightshades tend toward chaotic alignments, favoring the freedom to create with themselves what they please
Size: Medium
speed: 30ft
Languages: Common, Sylvan
race features:
Fey. You are a Fey. Superior Darkvision. You have darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. Within this radius, you can see in dim light as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You cannot discern color in darkness, only shades of grey. Mimicry. You can successfully mimic any sound you have heard within the past 30 days with a successful DC 10 Charisma (Deception) check. The DC increases to 13 if you have not heard the sound within the past 30 days, and to 20 if you have never heard the sound before. Shapechanger. You can use an action to morph your body into the shape of any Medium creature or object, Shadowy Regeneration. You heal 1 hit point every minute you spend in total darkness. Sunlight Hypersensitivity. You have disadvantage on all attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws while in direct sunlight. Shadowy Lash. Your unarmed strikes deal 1d4 bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage (your choice when you pick this race), as your hand becomes a weapon from your intention to harm.
Despite their long, slim build, skin so dark it seems to absorb the light around it, and lack of facial features other than two pale white eyes and a twisting lipless mouth, nightshades are quite gentle. The more common races have always hated them because of their appearance being similar to that of a shadow-spawn or demon, which has only improved their optimism that if they kill the humanoids with kindness, the humanoids won't kill them with pitchforks and fire.
