Ambush: The Wendigo gets advantage on attack rolls made against surprised opponents.

Masks of the Wild: The wendigo is able to hide in even open terrain, or in any naturally occuring anomaly such as fog, or misty rain.

Mimicry: The wendigo is able to mimic any sounds it has heard, including voices. Anyone who hears them can discern the differences with a successful DC 14 Wisdom (Insight) check.

Pounce: If the wendigo moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 13 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the wendigo can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.

Actions

Multiattack: The wendigo makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.
Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) piercing damage. On a hit, the target must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or take an additional 9 (2d8) necrotic damage.

Claws: Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) slashing damage.

The spirit of despair and self hatred that takes hold of some people in the vast taiga forests and subarctic areas of Tellus, can be totally incapacitating. The winters being as harsh as they are, the spectre of cannibalism hovers over every head in the area. And, for those whose will was not as strong as their hunger, there is always the chance of being overcome by the entropic spirit of a Wendigo.   They grow horns, and their visage changes into a horrifying corruption of the natural order. They are ferocious looking, with pieces of bone poking through the skin of their face in strange places, and their twisted and elongated snoot often displays boney, poisoned spines that weep thick, viscous fluid.

Suggested Environments

Taiga and subarctic broadleaf forests seem to be their preferred abode.
