Mananan

The Mananan are a race of humans from the island of Ellan Mannin between Eire and Albion and are known for their natural charisma as well knowledge of the arcane arts. Mananans are often shorter smaller than other humans, with fair to slightly tanned skin. They have eyes that range from auburn to orange and on rarer instances red. Their hair is most often blonde or orange but those with golden blonde hair are revered as future heroes. Both Mananan men and women grow out their hair which is often long and slight curls to it.

Mananan weapon training You have proficiency in the dirk, shillalah, bastard sword and slingshot weapons.   Anan augury An omen of the future presents itself to you. When you first roll initiative for battle you can swap either your result with an ally or swap it with an enemy. This ability can only be used a number of times equal to character level and replenishes after a long rest.   Man malediction When an enemy casts a spell you can use your reaction to force the creature into making a spell save (DC equal to 8 + proficiency modifier + Charisma or Intelligence modifier). On a failed save the enemy's spell fails and you gain temporary hit points equal to the spell level(minimum of 1). This ability can only be used once per long rest.
The Mananan are a race of humans who excel and using magic and diplomatic means of achieving their goals. Taking much of their cultural influence from the Hibeire and other Galaelish peoples such as they practice of spell casting, but the Mananans have focused on it. Such actions require a quick tongue to both win over others with fast talk and equally fast incantations. Mananan society is largely tight-knit and their sharp mental acuity and inherent communication skills are most often used in study and debate regarding magical theory and its applications.
