Spellsong Virtuoso

Proficiency in the Performance skill, the ability to cast spellsong

As your skill as an artist grows, your spellsinging improves with it. See the spellsong spell description in chapter 5 for details on spellsinging. You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Charisma ability score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • You gain expertise with the Performance skill, which means your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make with it. This skill must not already benefit from a feature, such as Expertise, that doubles your proficiency bonus.
  • During a high magic induction, you can use your action to spellsing the magical energy of the high magic field into a more pliable state. Until the start of your next turn, all participants in the induction who can see or hear your performance can add your Charisma modifier to one Spellcraft check. A participant can benefit from this feature once per turn.
  • If you cast spellsong using high magic induction as its song, in addition to the normal benefits of spellsinging, you gain a number of high magic points equal to your proficiency bonus. You can spend 1 high magic point per round on either an intonation or an incantation, as if it were a 1st-level spell slot. Alternatively, you can combine that point with a spell slot you expend that round, using it to increase the spell slot’s level by 1. You lose all unspent points when your high magic induction ends. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
