Spellcasting. The spriggan is a 5th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit will spell attacks). The spriggan has the following spells prepared:   Cantrips (at will): Animal Friendship, Druidcraft, Goodberry   1st level (3 slots): Charm Person, Entangle, Spike Growth   3rd level (1 slot): Conjure Animals, Plant Growth


Guardian of Nature. The spriggan is always under the effects of the barkskin and pass without trace spells.   Sounds of Nature. The spriggan can communicate with beasts and plants as if they shared a language.

Actions

Multiattack. The spriggan makes two claw attacks.   Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 1d20+5 to hit, reach 5ft, one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) 1d8+4 slashing damage and 3 (1d6) 1d6 poison damage. If the target is a creature it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be infected with sight rot. Once a creature has succeeded the saving throw once, they can no longer catch the disease.   Thorn Whip. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 1d20+5 to hit, reach 10ft, one target. Hit: 8 (1d8+4) 1d8+4 piercing damage. If the target is a creature and is large or smaller, it must succeed on a Strength saving throw contested by the spriggan's strength roll. Upon failing, the target is pulled within 5ft of the spriggan.

Reactions

Natural Healing (2/day). When the spriggan takes damage that would reduce it to zero hit points that is not fire damage, the spriggan instead regains all of its lost hit points and is incapacitated until the end of its next turn.

Spriggans are the mysterious plant-based creatures that seemingly guard the ruins that dot Maji. They can be extremely dangerous, often detouring would be adventures after hearing of their stories.
