Borea

The Borea are a nomadic folk whose home is in the desolate frozen tundras of Isolation, North of Vilandia. It is very rare to encounter them outside of their homeland, which is why most Vilandians have never even heard of them. They are very elegant and generally focused on their outward experience to appear as beautiful as possible. Their hair is very straight and traditionally kept long, and their ears resemble those of wood- or moon elves. Depending on their tribe, a Borea may have a set of horns or antlers in various shapes and sizes. Each female Borea fashions a set of large fairy wings. A male Borea does not have wings and is tasked with providing shelter for the women once they stop at settlements for a rest or if sick.   A nomad tribe consists of women almost exclusively. The only men allowed in their ranks are sons, who are left in male-only settlements once they are thought to be old enough. A woman will only leave her tribe to find a male partner or to fulfill a divine duty. Male Borea born with wings are called 'wing-bearers' and live with the rest of the men in the settlements.
