  • Ambusher. In the first round of a combat, the aurumvorax has advantage on attack rolls against any creature it has surprised.
  • Alien Beast. Though the creature is a monstrosity, spells and effects that target beasts also affect the aurumvorax.
  • Dense. The aurumvorax is incredibly dense, weighing over 500 pounds despite its small size. It takes no damage from needlers and fragmentation grenades and has advantage on Constitution saving throws that stun the creature, which only last 1d3 rounds even if it fails.
  • Grappler. The aurumovorax has advantage on attack rolls against any creature grappled by it.
  • Keen Smell. The aurumvorax has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
  • Lockjaw. If the aurmovorax hits with a bite attack it automatically grapples the target (DC 16 to escape). Ability checks made to escape this grapple have disadvantage. It also gains the rake attack option against the grappled target.
  • Metal Eater. An Auromvorax can bypass an object or constructs damage resistance and immunities so long as they are made of metal.
  • Pounce. If the aurumvorax moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 16 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the aurumvorax can use its rake attack against it as a bonus action.

Actions

Multiattack. The aurumvorax can use its rake action if possible, if not, it otherwise makes five attacks: one with its bite and four with its claws.   Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit 1d20+7 , reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) 1d10+5 piercing damage and the target is grappled (Escape DC 16). While grappled, the target automatically takes 1 1 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage at the start of each of the aurumvorax's turns.   Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit 1d20+7 , reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) 2d6+5 slashing damage.   Rake. As long as the auromvox is attached to a target via lockjaw it can attack the target making 4 claw attacks and 1 bite attack per attack action. It has advantage on these attacks.

This creature is the size of a large badger and has a temperament to match. Six claw-tipped legs protrude from its desnsily-muscled body. It is covered in tawny brown fur and has glittering yellow ryes. A short dog-like muzzle filled with sharp teeth snarls menacingfy.
