Snapping Tortle

Snapping Tribes can be found on rivers and lakes. Aggressive like Razorback Tortles, they dislike most connected with most people and instead enjoy the simple life. Their shells resemble that of a Razorback, but their core difference is that their jaws are much more sharper and strong then most species.

Snap N' Bite: Snapping Tortles are named for the bite of their powerful jaws. They are not afraid to use their snapping jaws to their advantage, using them to lunge at and grab food or an enemy. Snapping Tortles are not typically aggressive but may become so when feeling threatened. When you use your attack action you can choose to lunge forward 5 ft. and make an unarmed strike against a target. If you hit, you deal 1d8 + your Strength Modifier to the target and they are considered grappled. While the target is grappled this attack can't be used to attack a different target.   Spiked Armour: Due to your shell and the shape of your body, you are ill-suited to wearing armour. Your shell provides ample protection, however; it gives you a base AC of 17 (your Dexterity modifier doesn’t affect this number). You gain no benefit from wearing armour, but if you are using a shield, you can apply the shield’s bonus as normal. Also, if you use your Attack Action to Grapple a creature and succeed, the creature takes 3 damage.
