Lacrymole

The lacrymole is an oddity amongst species found within the galaxy. They appear as typical humanoids of average stature, height, and weight, except with one key difference: their physical appearance is constantly shifting and changing, a myriad of colors, until they decide to imitate the appearance of another humanoid race. As such, the lacrymole most often lives inside of other civilizations, such as the Imperium, where they can thrive in secrecy. Lacrymoles possess vampire-like teeth, and are able to feed off of the blood of creatures to sustain themselves. Out of all of the species listed as intolerable in most societies, the lacrymole is one of the most hated, hunted, and despised creatures to exist within the galaxy at large.
ability score increase: Your Charisma score increases by 2. In addition, one ability score of your choice increases by 1.
age: Lacrymole mature faster than humans, but share a similar lifespan: typically a century or less.
alignment: Lacrymole tend to lean towards evil alignment, as many are selfish and content with feeding and killing as they need to survive.
Size: Medium
speed: Your base walking speed is 30 feet
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Low Gothic and two other languages of your choice.
race features:
  • Bite. Your vampire-like teeth are natural weapons. Your bite deals 1d6 + your Strength modifier in kinetic damage.
  • Shapechanger. As an action, you can change your appearance and your voice. You determine the specifics of the changes, including your coloration, hair length, and sex. You can also adjust your height and weight, but not so much that your size changes. You can make yourself appear as a member of another race, though none of your game statistics change. You can’t duplicate the appearance of a creature you’ve never seen, and you must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs that you have. Your clothing and equipment aren’t changed by this trait.
You stay in the new form until you use an action to revert to your true form or until you die.
  • Lacrymole Instincts. You gain proficiency with two of the following skills of your choice: Deception, Insight, Intimidation, and Persuasion.
