"The key to survival is being able to hear a needle drop amidst chaos."   Repeated training has allowed your senses to become keen. Upon choosing this feat, if you do not already have it, you gain proficiency in Perception and your Passive Perception becomes 16 unless your current Passive Perception is higher than this amount, in which case, use that number instead. Additionally, whenever you would be caught by surprise, be it by a trap or by a sneak attack or some other manner, if you were made to roll against such action such as in the case of dodging the trap, attack, etc..., you may roll with advantage instead as your honed instincts take over momentarily, offering you an edge against the threat at hand.
