Deep Elf

ability score increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2 and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
age: Although elves reach physical maturity at about the same age as humans, the elven understanding of adulthood goes beyond physical growth to encompass worldly experience. An elf typically claims adulthood and an adult name around the age of 100 and can live to be 750 years old.
Size: Medium
speed: Your walking speed is 30 feet, and you have a swimming speed equal to your walking speed.
Languages: You can speak, read, and write Common and Deep Speech.
race features:
Darkvision. You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Keen Senses. You have proficiency in the Perception skill.
Trance. Elves don't need to sleep. Instead, they meditate deeply, remaining semiconscious, for 4 hours a day. (The Common word for such meditation is "trance.") While meditating, you can dream after a fashion; such dreams are actually mental exercises that have become reflexive through years of practice. After resting in this way, you gain the same benefit that a human does from 8 hours of sleep. If you meditate during a long rest, you finish the rest after only 4 hours. You otherwise obey all the rules for a long rest; only the duration is changed.
Beast Claws. Your nails have sharpened over time as protection in the times before you had weapons to defend yourself. Your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
Deep Ancestry. After being banished to a pocket in the darkest depths of the ocean, the deep elves were saved by a being of incomprehensible might. His gifts have passed down through blood for generations. You learn one Eldritch Invocation option of your choice from the warlock class. If the invocation has a prerequisite of any kind, you can choose that invocation only if you meet the prerequisite.
Whenever you gain a level, you can replace the invocation with another one from the warlock class.
