Greater Hell Bovine

A massive nightmare, this bull-infused demon stands horn and shoulder above its hell bovine brethren. A brutal opponent, unlike the typical hell bovine, this Lord Among Bovines brings evil cunning and abyssal soaked weapons to the field. He is not on a "cow level". He IS the Hidden Cow Level!

Special Attacks:
Baleful Moo
As a standard action once per day, a Greater Hell Bovine can fill the air around it with the cries of tormented souls and cattle. Any characters within 100 feet must make a will save vs a DC 20 or be shaken and must retreat until they can no longer hear the beast. The save is Charisma based. Any character that suffers the Baleful Moo once, no matter if they save successfully or not, is immune to the effect for 24 hours.

Hammer Time
As a standard action three times per day, a Greater Hell Bovine can charge its war hammer with the fires of the abyss then slam the hammer against the ground in a single attack. This attack will deal 1d8 points of damage to the Greater Hell Bovine and allows an automatic attack of opportunity. But all creatures within 10 feet of the beast must make a DC 21 Reflex save or be knocked prone by the unholy force of the blow and take 2d8+10 points of damage.

Searing Snort
As a standard action twice per day, a Greater Hell Bovine can let out a snort of searing hot steam. This attack targets a single character who must make a DC 21 Reflex save or be seriously scalded with unholy hot steam and take 1d10+5 points of damage.

Ecology

This broad-shouldered, hump backed bull is a monster even by hell bovine standards. Upright on its hind hooves, it stands a solid 8 to 9 feet tall. It's eyes smolder with a devious, insidious cleverness that reeks of the abyss.   In one forehoof it brandishes a war hammer glowing with the cursed Dark Speech of Zuyan. These letters are constantly shifting, and burning like molten metal.   In the other forehoof the Greater Hell Bovine wields a incredibly sharp battleaxe that also is alive with glowing vile runes of Zuyan.   Then there is the dark, almost metallic gleam that shines from its black horns.   The first warning is when, out of the pitch darkness, one hears the angry baritone "Mooooooooo!"




Given sentience by {spoiler!} and driven mad by the incessant prodding they suffered at the hands of the heroes that swarmed to {spoiler!}, these hell-spawned bovines seek to destroy those who abused them when they were docile and defenseless. Armed with vicious halberds, they lie in wait just on the other side of the latest heroes' current location....  
  There is usually one Greater Hell Bovine per herd of Hell Bovines. However, there is never more than two.
